Government Subsidy For Hydroponics & Aeroponics Farming

Credit-linked back-ended subsidy of 20% of total project cost limited to Rs 25 lakh per project in general & Rs.30.00 lakh in NE Region, Hilly, and Scheduled regions

For capital intensive and high-value crops under protected cultivation and open-air cultivation of date palm, olive and saffron

A subsidy of 25% of project cost with a ceiling of Rs.50 lakh (33 percent of project cost with a ceiling of Rs.60 lakh for scheduled and hilly areas)

Subsidy Conditions

1. The above support is available for projects spanning an area of more than four hectares (ten acres) in open cultivation and more than 1000 square meters in protected cultivation

2. The credit component as a method of financing the project shall be a term loan from a banking or non-banking financial organization that is at least 15% higher than the admissible rate of subsidy

3. Projects involving the establishment of new production units shall be evaluated to ensure and enable entrepreneurs to incorporate essential hi-tech components

4. Such as planting material, plantation, irrigation, fertigation, precision farming, on-farm PHM/ primary processing critical facilities, GAP, and so on; and to that extent, the project shall be integrated into nature

5. The NHB shall prescribe the normative cost of various components (National Horticulture Board, nhb.gov.in)
